The pleasures of sophistication

An exercise in style and a great technical feat: this distinctive chalet restricted to a small footprint forms an original kind of connection, a discreet link between heaven and earth. It features several basement floors, within the entrails of the Savoyard earth. The subtle way the construction rises out of the ground masks the spectacular and invisible side of this chalet. Inside, generous use of marble and stone (featured in pleasing abundance in the bathrooms and steam bath) underlines the sophistication of the surroundings, which give off an atmosphere of luxury and serenity.
